Tapana Miśra dāsa started associating with ISKCON devotees in 1997 while studying at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Over the following twenty years had the good fortune to serve and experience Kṛṣṇa consciousness in different environments – university program, temple resident, congregation member, yatra leader and resident at a holy dham. He now lives with his wife Indirā-sakhi devi dasi and their two daughter Kṛśāṅgī and Gaurāṅgī at Śrīdhām Māyāpur.
Tapana Miśra dāsa had a very successful career in the secular world, managing investments for large financial institutions and representing the government on the Board of directors of billion dollar plus enterprises. In 2014 at the age of thirty six, he gladly gave up his career in favor of serving ISKCON and adopted simpler living and higher thinking being inspired by his diksha guru H.H. Bhakti Vikāśa Maharaj, H.D.G. Śrīla Prabhupāda and Śrīmad Bhāgavatam.
His voluntary services for ISKCON are – GBC Org Dev Committee member, GBC Global Duty Officer (GDO), Māyāpur Master Plan Coordination Committee, Māyāpur Strategic Planning Committee, Māyāpur Institute Board of Governors. He was instrumental in establishing the preaching in a challenging country in the Middle East which he continues to serve and supervise. Tapana Miśra dāsa also teaches Bhaktivaibhava course at the Māyāpur Institute.
Tapana Miśra dāsa has a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University and few other professional qualifications. He has traveled widely across the world to over 50 countries and shares Śrīla Prabhupāda’s message wherever the opportunity presents itself.
